How to Buy an Apple Computer

by Tom

Amit Singh has written an extremely informative article on How to Buy an Apple Computer. There are some great tips here, but the one that struck me as being awesome, was how students can obtain rather large discounts by purchasing a $99US ADC Student membership.

If you have exclusively used Windows computers you might be surprised that a guide like this would have value. The fact is though that there are an entirely different range of questions to ask when it comes to Mac, not least of which concerns basic benchmarks like processor clock speed for instance.

With the popularity of the iPod a lot more people are considering making the switch to Mac than ever before. Even if you have only barely considered it you might want to take a look at this article or pass it to a friend or relative, who might be put off from computing it means putting up with computers that use Windows as an operating system.

Technical people tend to forget that basic ease-of-use is most important to those completely unfamiliar with computers, and for them oftentimes a Mac is the best purchase, even at a higher cost.
