PHP Function Index for Mac OS X provides a nice GUI wrapper for the PHP documentation. It is a simple browser to quickly look up any PHP function. Its search offers realtime-filtering of the function list and its AppleScript interface lets you look up functions easily from within your favorite editor. If you’re on OS X, what a superb tool this is both in terms of functionality as well as aesthetics.
I have no doubt this will enable me to save plenty of time day to day, as I don’t have to switch to another window or application to look up functions quickly, which might enable me to proceed without breaking my too-fragile train of thought!
