Rustboy is a short film project by Brian Taylor that began as a 2D image for a short story illustration. Since then, Rustboy has moved from being a hobby to a full-time job for Brian. His website documents the process of creating the short film and includes lots of gems like storyboards and some short movie clips.
Of course the back story here is interesting as well. If Taylor can take an idea that has real traction and develop it into a full-time job, is there an idea that you have that is compelling enough to run within the same way?
And even if you don’t have anything currently, realize that one spark of inspiration can grow into a huge idea, as facilitated by the Internet for worldwide distribution.
