Windows Explorer Wildcard Selection

by Tom

The Code Project has a great little utility that allows Windows Explorer wildcard selection via a simple shell extension. If your computer experience dates back to the days of MS-DOS you probably remember how to use wildcard patterns. For some reason Windows Explorer doesn’t support wildcards, at least out of the box, but this is a handy little tool that will for instance, give you the ability to select all HTML files in a given folder to perform an operation on them.

Simply move to a folder with some files and right mouse click to specify your wildcard. This makes sorting and searching for file in a folder much easier.
