Open Source Web Spell Checker

Speller Pages is an open source web spell checker that can be used on any HTML form field. It requires either PHP or PERL support on your server. The demo is quite remarkable. When the script finds a spelling mistake it displays a dialog box that looks much like the spell checking dialog in MS office.

sounds handy. i wonder how hard it would be to port to ColdFusion.

the spellchecker that I like is the one built in gMail. It is very easy to use (though, perhaps, not very accessible) – not only that but their dictionary is much more complete than mine will ever be.

This could be a solution for coldfusion. It uses ajax and google’s spelling api. Very much like the gmail implementation.
