There has been some excellent discussion recently about DHTML and memory leaks. With more and more web developers using DHTML with the xmlhttprequest object, I’m sure we’ll hear even more about these types of issues. Event Cache is a small drop-in script by Mark Wubben that will clean up any memory leaks left behind due to DHTML. He starts by giving us some good background then explains usage of the Event Cache, and then links to a couple of excellent testcases that illustrate memory leaking.
This article is really going to give developers a head start in getting familiar with using DHTML with the xmlhttprequest object.
