TinyMCE Javascript Content Editor

TinyMCE Javascript Content Editor by Moxiecode Systems is a platform independent web based Javascript HTML WYSIWYG editor control released as Open Source. It has the ability to convert HTML TEXTAREA fields or other HTML elements to editor instances. TinyMCE is very easy to integrate into other CMS systems.

thats pretty nice… but there is one thing none of them seems to be capable of:

a. type a domain without “http://”
f.x.: http://www.digitalmediaminute.com

b. select the text

c. apply a link to it that links somewhere deeper on that site with subdirs etc

d. see how the selected text gets converted to the url you just entered.

this happens in all of those js-wysiwyg thingies on windows in IE.. there is no workaround to this. I don’t know why this is but MSWord also has this bug (?)..

the only solution i discovered so far is to use Firefox but many customers wont be able ;(
