JavaScript Drag and Drop Docking Boxes

Docking Boxes is a great JavaScript that uses the DOM to add animated drag ‘n’ drop, snap-to-grid, and show/hide-contents functionality to any group of elements. Update: the link above takes you to the third iteration of docking boxes and includes a screenshot of its implementation on iPhone.

Originally dbx2 represented implementation number one of drag-and-drop that was keyboard accessible and the elegant look and functionality of it has not diminished over time. Basically this script is capable of handling columns, rows, or objects in 2-D grids over any shape and size that you require. This is a superb little tool and a great example of what you can do with JavaScript.

I can’t read this, your menu is hovering over it. I suppose this is because I’m not using Internet Exploder which probably means I don’t WANT to read this…
