Actually, both these projects are very functional as well. I’m running both of them at my work place and use them on a regular basis for managing my tasks and source code snippets! I suppose it makes sense to find and use as many helpful rails applications as you can if you are a rails developer, to enable you to become more discriminating as to what works and does not work for users. Generally I find rails projects to be quite friendly and attractive too, which gives me confidence to get more involved in learning it.
