New Fonts From Microsoft

by Tom

This post has been removed at the request of Microsoft’s lawyers.

I was surprised that a pagerank five website that merely pointed to an article that featured a bunch of new fonts from this company, including a link back to the original article, without copying any verbiage at all from the article on their site, would be a problem. But then, a lot of things this company does, and most products it releases in 2005 surprise me unfavorably.

Interestingly no explanation was forthcoming, not that they necessarily owed me one anyway, but I was completely nonplussed by the request. Is publicity suddenly a bad thing for some companies? Maybe this company has grown so large that no further interest need be shown by tech blogs who are publicizing their products in a good light anyway. Certainly interest will be curtailed on this particular website.

How do you use them? specifically?
My understanding is that clients can only view fonts on web pages that they already have installed..
