Google’s Summer of Code Bears Fruit

James Anderson, a participant in Google’s Summer of Code, talks about his project called transparent synchronization or Tsync for short. Tsync has the ability to keep a set of files consistent across many machines, even when those devices have different degrees of connectivity and availability.

“My solution synchronizes multiple devices so that you never have to move data back and forth by hand, and it’s all updated automatically. It does so while requiring minimal effort from the user, at the same time it maintains security, robustness to failure, and fast performance.”

I wish they had a Windows port. I’ve been looking for something that does exactly what TSync is supposed to do, but for Windows.
