I often have a difficult time explaining exactly what content tagging is, and even when I do explain it really well, most people have a hard time understanding what it’s inherant benefis are.
We have all grown up in an environment where we come across new content and rather haphazard ways, as in a bookstore or a magazine article. Tagging is one way to systematize the process of ordering content so that it’s easier to find later. And, when other people share their tags with us it gets easier to find information we never would’ve run across at all.
