As you may have already noticed, I have just redesigned this blog. I was never entirely happy with the last redesign, so decided to freshen up the site with a new look. I hope you enjoy it!
I have also switched from Textpattern to WordPress. I was very happy using Textpattern, and it is an excellent content management system suitable for blogs. There are lots of really cool features and an excellent community of dedicated users. The reason for the switch is that in my day job, I create and maintain content management systems, so I figured it would be a great idea to familiarize myself with and learn a different CMS.
One of the greatest benefits of working with open-source content management systems, is that you can learn alot by looking at the architecture and source-code of others. It becomes a great source of inspiration in working on my own projects.

Nice, but font is too small.
Great new look, but I agree, the font it a bit too small for the 7:41am viewing. I think the bevel could be improved a bit on the right side… seems a bit rough around the edges.

Also, the 400-pixel wide design grossly under uses my 1200-pixel wide screen :( It actually reads easier with CSS turned off, though it’s not nearly as green.

Wow, very nice redesign. It looks amazing. I really like how you add functionality through the menu by having it fly out of the right-hand side. It looks and works really well.

The grey text column occupies just 25% of the screen width. I run my screen at 1280 pixels wide, and sometimes at 1920 pixels wide, depending.
Actually, the text column on my old design occupied the same space! The difference now is that there is a larger margin on the left column, and the sidebar only appears when you click on a navigation item in the banner!
some rant: the bevel is ugly, the sidebar of the menu is just wonderfull, i’d be more happy if you’d use em’s (zoom layout hinthint), the layout reminds me of a cross (which seems so hmm).
but since im here for the very good content and am reading the feed anyway dont take me too serious ;)

Personally, I never use more than a single link in the comment I post because doing so can trigger spam catchers if the user has that plugin activated, whereas a single link will not.
