SilverStripe Tree Control is a nice, free, customizable, unobtrusive, JavaScript based tree control that turns any structured unordered list into an expandable/collapsable tree. This is a great little programmer’s tool that I’ve been playing with lately and I can report that it works as advertised and handles unordered lists very well.
Most programmers will know that the tree paradigm enables the user to expand or contract huge amounts of code as necessary to increase one’s ability to work with it successfully, and this is one of the best implementations of the idea that I’ve seen. The price is certainly right so go ahead and give it a go yourself.
