The Dojo JavaScript Library offers a very nice Rich Text Editing Box that can easily be incorporated into your web applications. The Dojo toolkit actually has a lot of JavaScript tools that you will want to take a look at; these are going to save you loads of time if you take advantage of them.
These tools support Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome and there is even a community surrounding the company to help you get off the ground or with troubleshooting should you hit a stumbling block. I have found over the years that investing a little time examining JavaScript tools to integrate into my workflow pays dividends in the form of saving time later; these are some of the best I’ve seen in a while.
