Firefox! That’s right, the Microsoft team has decided to use Firefox’s RSS Icon in Internet Explorer 7! I think this is good for RSS in general, and congratulations to Microsoft for doing the “good” thing. A unified icon will go far for furthering the adoption and use of RSS. And yes there’s a good bit of irony here, in that Mozilla, which was actively soliciting donations until fairly recently has made such inroads into the browser market that a basic Web service such as RSS is now going to be delivered even in Internet Explorer by an icon created by those fine Firefox folk.
