Managing MySQL on Mac OS X

by Tom

Your new Mac makes an excellent web application development system and a great database to power that web app is MySQL. O’Reilly’s MacDevCenter has an article that will help you with Managing MySQL on Mac OS X. Their coverage includeds installing mySQL then getting a GUI based tool to manage your databases– the MySQL administrator application, which is nothing more than a simple drag-and-drop to install.

Reading through this I can say that even someone who is a nonprofessional could easily understand this post and get a very good grounding in database aministration using MySQL. The article is quite lengthy  assumes no prior knowledge of MySQL or databases.
