The Lyceum Project is a stand-alone mutli-user blogging application that utilizes the WordPress blogging engine. This free open-source project enables stand-alone, multi-user blog services for small and high-volume environments. The Lyceum project is a implementation that is different from WordPress MU, though not without some similarities too.
If you’re not familiar with these multi-user blogging applications, they enable a single WordPress installation to accommodate many administrators, which allows for a completely different development philosophy of the website or blog than a standard, single admin implementation.
