Javascript Kit has an excellent article that will introduce you to one of JavaScript’s most powerful features – Javascript Closures. The author, Morris Johns, gets on our good side immediately by claiming that closures are not difficult to understand unless you are attempting to do so by way of academic papers or anything theoretically-oriented at all.
The article is for people familiar with programming skills but not necessarily advanced programmers. John’s starts out with a closure example and includes plenty of coding snippets throughout the article to illustrate. I went over a couple pages of it and found it to be extremely easy to understand.

Run on sentence much? That article is damn near impossible to read.
If you come here for grammer lessons – you’re obviously at the wrong place! Enjoy the links and if you’re really that concerned about run-on sentences, start your own blog.
