You can pick your favourite programming languages and see which one is faster at a variety of common programming tasks and benchmarking algorithms. Wow this website could take center stage at your next party for uber-geeks! Well it’s also  an interesting way to benchmark the languages you know against other computer languages, and I also can imagine this being valuable to students who are trying to determine which language to pour months and years of study into. The competitive layout of the site is perfectly appropriate though, as every programmer will be convinced he has the truth about the relative merits of the whole spectrum of computer languages: check out this battle between PHP and Ruby!
