The WebServerXKit installer package :: Web Tools for Mac OS X by RBSoftware provides an easy way to install all the last versions of Apache, PHP, and MySQL on Mac OS X. I know there are a few of these solutions out there but I was talking to a friend who had spent way too long trying to install PHP and MySQL manually, so I think there’s a need to make people aware that there are ways to very quickly and easily get these installed on your Mac. At any rate the whole process looks very simple from the screenshots so go take a quick look.

It is different in the fact that it installs Apache 2.2, MySQL 5.0 and also deals with installing Ruby on Rails with the Apache FastCGI module.
