Noel Jackson has a small tutorial on Favicon Creation. A Favicon is the small icon that sits in the address bar of you browser, or the icon that is displayed in shortcuts to your favourite sites. I recently created one for Digital Media Minute and in my opinion if you want your site to be regarded as a professional effort in the future a favicon will be one of those small items that your website has to have. Favicons are surprisingly easy to create and make a nice finishing touch on your websites. I have already seen quite a few of them that were small works of art unto themselves.
