New Web Design Blog
I always encourage my students to blog, so it’s gratifying to see a student take on to blogging. Taking the time to blog is a great way to show the world how passionate you are about your craft. Graphika Studios is a new blog by Darren Terhune who is a current student in the Digital Media Technology program at Malaspina University-College. In his blog he is sharing his learning and class projects with the world - be sure to check them out and contact him about a job (he’ll be looking for work in May)!

The design is fine, but Darren needs to improve his basic English, learn how to proofread (including spell-check), and add an “About me” entry to his blog, at minimum. After he clears those rudimentary hurdles, we can talk about a job. :-)
John thanks for the input. I could really use it. I am currently working on updating the site to include a resume and other (About Me Info). It’s pretty difficult to find time while in school but i’m doing my best. As for the English, what part on the site? I usually read over my stuff a few times before posting. Thanks and keep the comments comming, please! Maybe comments on my site? Thanks,
Darren
You’re welcome, Darren.
“Comming”? “i’m”? “(About Me Info)”?
Start with basic English skills: spelling, punctuation, grammar. And proofread, proofread, proofread.
Though proper English is essential, people skills and basic Internet etiquette are also very important. Judging from Darren’s comments and portfolio he seems to have these in spades. The other poster could learn from his example. Great portfolio Darren! :)
Thanks Andy,
I’m glad you like it! I know my English does need some help, but like my portfolio, it’s also a work in progress. I love hearing what people have to say so I’d love to hear from you again. Maybe something else I could do on my site? Cheers.
I really like the site and always welcome new designers to the industry with open arms, blogging is very open domain, enjoy!
