MUX is a slick web application that will convert your digital video files to quite a few different formats including the ubiquitous FLV Flash Video format. Even more impressive is that this service is powered by Amazon EC2 and S3 web services. I don’t know about you but I find myself having increased need for these file converters for video online, as the range of video formats seems to be expanding quickly. Trying to work with some exotic video format that you’ve never even heard of before can be a complete showstopper and have you stuck for hours looking around for a way to make use of the file. Tools like Mux at least aim to do away with this problem.

Looks like it uses FFMPEG so your limited to sorensons flash video 7 codec….But still a very cool service.
