Here is a quick little screencast I prepared that shows how the just released Parallels Desktop RC2 coherence mode just got way better. In a nutshell, a couple of small tweaks gets rid of that nasty old Windows Taskbar. Clicking on the Parallels dock icon opens up the Start Menu. I have made no secret for my enthusiasm for Parallels, which makes toggling from OS X to Windows almost embarrassingly easy.
The link above is not an affiliate link; I would simply encourage anyone who is on a Mac who still feels from time to time a need for specific Windows applications for which a Mac version does not yet exist, to try it. Parallels has made life so much easier for me; there are other software packages and solutions for this such as Bootcamp and VMWare, which I know are preferred by some people. While this isn’t an account of their relative merits I can definitely report a positive experience with Parallels.
