EC2UI is a Firefox extension that provides a great GUI to manage your Amazon EC2 instances, AMIs, instances, keypairs, security groups and permissions. The extension is available here. Anyone makes regular use of Amazon’s EC2 functionality will want to seriously consider installing this Firefox add-on, and it is just another example of how well into the “long tail” of user needs extensions have progressed. We used to say there was a Firefox extension for “everything”, but I get the feeling that’s not as much of an exaggeration as it used to be, even three years ago. I could list a couple of dozen applications I no longer have a need for because of the extensions I have installed.
