Ruby On Rails And Flex

by Tom

As a way of illustrating how to connect a Flex RIA to a Ruby on Rails application using RubyAMF, Jon Campos at United Mindset has created a tutorial that I think is quite well done. What a timely and valuable article this is from Campos. With the exploding popularity of Ruby on Rails, learning how to combine it with Rich Internet Applications such as those facilitated Flexs can only improve your professional tool kit.

He starts from where the pretty well-known screencast “Creating a weblog in 15 minutes with Rails 2″ leaves off, and shows how to connect the Ruby on Rails blog to a Flex blog powered by Ruby on Rails.

Thanks! Glad you liked it, if you are interested in RoR w/ Flex keep watching, I am working on a blog entry on pushing complex objects from Ruby to Flex.

Sounds great Jon– I’ll be looking for it.
