Here’s a nice list of 20 well-know developers for you to follow on Twitter, for tips, ideas, glimpses of the future, etc. While you’re at it, you can follow Digital Media Minute too! So I have an idea for a helpful website: just as just lists of “thought leaders” on web developers is helpful for discovering what is in essence the zeitgeist for web development, you could probably think of 1000 other topics that are worthy of creating a list like this around. The value is not in pointing to or regurgitating any particular content on the subject but rather giving visitors to this hypothetical website the means of staying current themselves, as the topic develops through time.
Maybe the amount of Twitter followers would determine who gains inclusion on each respected list. Twitter itself has attempted to do something like this with its List functionality but I always thought that Twitter lists were too convoluted for the average non-technically inclined person to really get involved with.
