From that master of life-hackery Tim Ferriss of all people, here’s a small tip for making a screengrab of an entire page (or any part of a page that you need). I shoulda known there was a Firefox extension. I have found out over time that I have a need for this functionality more often than I would have thought. I am also astounded that it is not offered by default in OS X, because I wouldn’t have thought that technically the challenge would be all that difficult. So here we have another example of shortcomings of an operating system being addressed by browser extensions-interesting concept isn’t it?

I use FastStone Capture–which will allow you to grab a screenshot of pretty much any scrolling window. The newer versions have a nominal fee, but the older versions under the name FreeStone Capture were free (I think v5.3 was the last free version.)
Thanks for the tip Dan, much appreciated. FastStone Capture has a lot of functionality, and I’d never even heard of it. Please visit again!
