Microsoft: Don’t Click Hyperlinks

A Microsoft Knowledge Base article outlines the steps that you can take to help identify and to help protect yourself from deceptive (spoofed) Web sites and malicious hyperlinks. I especially like the part that instucts – “The most effective step that you can take to help protect yourself from malicious hyperlinks is not to click them. Rather, type the URL of your intended destination in the address bar yourself.” This is just way too funny!

This is just not a MS IE bug - it affects most current web browsers on the market. So downloading firebird will not solve this issue. Although, Mozilla has identified this as an upcoming fix in a future release, MS has not indicated when or if the fix is coming.
