Mobile Coupons
As successful as the App Store is, I usually resist pointing to specific cool apps because I think that individually most of them have fairly long-tail appeal.
I’ll make an exception for Yowsa because the concept is so compelling right now with a down economy. It’s simple: “…it automatically finds deals and coupons for stores right in your area!” says the tagline. If it works as advertised it will take the aspect of needing to plan ahead to use a coupon right out of the equation, which was always problematic for people who tend to have more than 6 or 8 browser windows open at any one time (ie most people reading this)…..
I see a huge win-win for people looking for a quick bite: let’s face it, if you’re driving around and need to stop somewhere, having a coupon for a drivethru just up ahead will often seal the deal, since convenience/price are the reason you’re eating fast food in the first place. Yowsa has various retailers lined up already too. The app is free btw.
