Thanks for the comment Christian. I also wondered if this software would make what ended up on the page/screen more conversational and maybe less rigorous somehow. There's a place for informality, but sloppiness or a style-shift toward the verbose would be a high price to pay for increased ease of use (for me anyway).
I noticed today that as I am not looking as much to check the text as it types-yes Tom, it's working!- I'm stringing together much longer phrases between pauses and that process feels just about exactly the same as writing for me, without the anxiety over not typing quickly enough and losing the tail-end of the thought, as I admittedly don't touch type. Interesting stuff, I think!
Thanks for visiting Christian. --Tom

Thanks for the initial review. I've been curious about this type of software myself. Maybe I'll give it a try one of these days.

My big hesitation is that I believe the processes of speaking and writing are dramatically different, and I don't know if I can express myself verbally in the same way I can writing. But I won't know until I try.

Just watch out you don't end up with voice strain...

I had a problem with typing / stiff neck too... You need to make sure your desk / keyboard and monitor are setup properly, take regular breaks and do stretches...

Also, changing your "position" around can help - it does not help to sit in one position for a long time.. Stress does not help this too
