Chrome for Mac first impression? It is so fast that I didn’t even see the icon bounce in the dock! Maybe I can live without my Firefox extensions. Seriously though, as critical as speed is in you’re browsing experience, if chrome can eventually accommodate the range of Firefox add-ons that I have installed in Firefox, this speed advantage would go a long way for me at least in making a switch.
Of course, even if developers undertake aggressive porting of existing extensions to Chrome its probably going to be quite a while until there are anywhere near as many extensions for it as there are for Firefox. I suppose most people reading this on Macs have either already installed Chrome for Mac or will soon, but let me assure you that when you do you will notice a nice boost in speed.
