Wow: have you seen Samsung’s new OLED see-through display? It’s not ready yet for actual release but it looks very damn impressive anyway. I don’t know that I want a laptop with this screen, but the applications for this are endless. Note how thin the surface is when the video zooms in. Can I put this tech into my sunglasses and surf at the beach? You know what I mean.
And seriously, you know that sooner or later you’re going to be inundated by products that feature this technology, most likely in wearable form as glasses, which enables you to go about your daily activities and still stay connected. This is when sheer connectedness will turn into an appendage and among other things your consciousness be split between your physical proximity and all the information contained by the Web– unless of course you are willing and able to disconnect.
