Check out Rapportive’s Customer Relationship Management tool that integrates right into Gmail. It’s a Firefox /Chrome plugin that replaces ads in Gmail and gives you context as to the person with whom you’re corresponding by giving you a look at their social media profile. It is very, very slick and simple, and the value is easy to see. Rapportive presents it as a CRM tool, but it might also have value if you have dozens or hundreds of contacts and you’d benefit from a little memory-jog as to who the heck this is, asking you for VC funding… (assuming they make it past the spam filter).
