Google has taken the intensive two-day Python class that they offer internally to employees with very little programming experience (I didn’t know they hired people like that–chefs and masseuses perhaps?), and put it here for free under the Creative Commons attribution 2.5 license. The class covers installing Python on your computer through text files, processes, and http connections. There are Python exercises and Python lecture videos. It’s nice of Google to share reference material like this and after giving it a quick walk-through it certainly looks like producing it was about a lot more than simply going through the motions. Really excellent class here and I think a lot of readers will appreciate that it’s so comprehensive and that one can make a lot of progress in just a couple of days.
