I’ve noticed a few FREE web-based services that let you move your large files around. The size of the files that can be transfered vary from 50MB to 1GB depending on the service you choose, and all the listed services use a combination of HTTP and Mail to handle the transfer of files.

• Dropload is a place for you to drop your files off and have them picked up by someone else at a later time.
• SendThisFile – The Sender makes a couple of clicks and the file uploads. They notify the recipient the file is available. The recipient clicks on a couple of links to download the file.
• YouSendIt let’s you send photos, audio, documents or anything other kind of file. Your file will be stored by YouSendIt without ever filling up your recipient’s mailbox.
