The Poor Man’s Steadycam

by Tom

Are you looking for a way to have smooth looking video when the camera and camera operator are in motion? If your answer is yes, you need a steadycam! Steadycams can be very expensive, but this tutorial will show you how to build a $14 Steadycam! This is helpful because as much time as we put into researching expensive video cameras, the results that we get even on a first-rate camera are marginal if the camera operator is having a hard time holding the camera still. Anyone who has a shot a lot of video, especially with the newer, smaller video cameras knows exactly what I’m talking about.

At the end of the tutorial, make sure you check out the results that have been obtained with this homemade device. Quite impressive.
