The Man in Blue has created a neat Google Rank Calculator. Simply type in your URL and a search phrase to find out where your site ranks within the popular Google Search Engine. This was undertaken as an exercise to find out what it was like working with the Google Web API and SOAP, with which the author had previously been unfamiliar. He did a terrific job although if you’re trying to make use of his Google Web API license key he is only allowed 1000 search queries a day, one search using up 10 queries (10 results per page) in his allocation, so you (and he) would be better off using your own key.
