Invisible Mouse

by Tom

This is cool: imagine using a mouse that is not physically present. It’s another step on the path to making input devices more transparent, or in this case, actually invisible.  When you see functionality like this you realize how close we are to completely changing our physical relationship to our computers, so much that we won’t even think of them as computing devices in the future.

At some point interaction with voice or by way of gestures is going to mean that we can get things done without being “on” the computer anymore. This is more than semantics; sooner than you think the computer is going to meet you more than halfway, and this is going to make everything even easier than it is today. An invisible mouse is just the start.
