Google has been testing a tool-with schoolchildren-that will enable anyone to produce Android apps very easily. The video below gives just a hint of what Google App Inventor is, but it looks interesting, probably more interesting from a GUI design perspective than for the fact that I’ll be able to download the work of non-programmers to my Android phone. I doubt it will put many developers out of work, but it’s an ambitious idea. I say it gets at least two thumbs-up just for the value it has for education and getting children involved potentially in programming that much earlier. I always have a soft spot for educational tools disguised as games and I know that a lot of readers have kids. So what do you think?

Good ideas. I always stick to your ideas and apply them.
