Hi Peter and thanks for the comment.
We have to give Google credit for the amazing tech that Streetview is, and I remember using it for the first time and being astounded. Certainly improvements are coming; the way Google constantly innovates is a core strength.
Maybe I emphasized what I see as a slightly clunky way of navigating at street level, specifically when compared to what I see with Street Slide in the video. My point was less to bash StreetvIew than point to an apparent (possibly momentary) advantage that Microsoft could seize if it released Street Slide asap.
Thanks again Peter and please visit again.

Hi,

Although the streetslide has some nice features I think that your comments on streetview are way off the mark.

Streetview is one of the greatest enhancements to the web ever. To be able to view any road and see the shops etc where you want to go is absolutely amazing.

Will it be improved upon? Sure it will and I can guarantee you that google will be ready with versions 2 & 3

Always good to show the new stuff but I wouldn't write off such a technically able and helpful bit of software too readily.
