Tom Murphy is offering a whole bunch of Free Fonts. The fonts have mostly been created while doodling in class and unfortunately there are only PC versions of these fonts! Still, it’s a great resource for graphic designers and I expect to be offering more of these font resource posts in the future.
In my opinion typefaces as they pertain to usability and overall aesthetic experience of a website are vastly underrated, especially when compared to images or overall layout of the site. Still, when you look critically at a series of fonts you see that there is a certain feel that is communicated depending on what font a web designer has used and it behooves designers to consider using different fonts for different websites depending on the overall subject matter of a site.
