Claus Wahlers has recently made two related announcements regarding his DENG Modular XBrowser for Flash. Deng is now free for non-commercial use and the project has gone open source!
DENG, the Modular XBrowser for Flash is a a Flash MX Actionscript class library, wrapped into a Flash Component, enabling the Macromedia Flash Player 6 to render subsets of web standards like XForms, XHTML, SVG, XFrames etc.

In response to the changes in IE due tot he Eolas patent law suit, Peter Elste has posted a Publish template for the IE JavaScript solution.
You can download the file from his site then simply drop it in the First Run/HTML folder of your Flash install directory and restart Flash.
You can then specify the “IE Changes Workaround” publish template in the publish settings dialog (File > Publish Settings).
One of the solutions to the IE changes (as a result of the Eolas patent) is to either use a proprietary attribute of the <embed> or to write out your <embed> element in an external JavaScript file. Each method has it’s drawbacks and warnings.
