You’ve been eagerly waiting to get your hands on Adobe’s Apollo product and now you have it.  So what do you do next?  Here is a list of URL’s where you can find some great information, sample AIR files and tutorials:

•  Mike Chamber’s blog contains lots of great information about developing with Apollo.
• Christian Cantrell’s blog - Christian’s job at Adobe for the past while has been developing applications to test and validate the Apollo API.  Look for some great content on his site over the next while as he shares his knowledge with the community.
• Mike Downey is a Senior Product Manager or Apollo and has compiled a fantastic list of Apollo resources.

The AMFPHP project have posted a number of excellent screencasts that will help you get started using Flash Remoting for PHP. AMFPHP is an open-source Flash Remoting gateway that’s fast, reliable and free!

If you’re looking to build RIA’s using Ruby on Rails you should check out the OpenLaszlo gem that provides Rich Flash output for your Rails views. There is also a Rails plugin to hook it all up for easy generation of OpenLaszlo applets.

Pandora is a web-based service that helps you discover new music. The web app is a Flash RIA that asks you to type in an artist whose music you like, then based on an alogrithm created by the Music Genome Project it chooses artists whose style is close to that of the one you entered. It’s really quite remarkable and worth checking out.

The service is available by subscription (only $36 per year) or alternately by a free, ad supported player.
